Dr. Love was born in Albany, Georgia. He has been a practicing orthopedic surgeon since 2007. He attended the University of Virginia where he graduated with Highest Distinction, and he completed Air Force ROTC as a Distinguished Military Graduate.

He served on active duty in the Air Force at Andrews AFB as a staff orthopedic surgeon for four years. Dr. Love was also the Medical Director of the 779th Surgical Operations Squadron and was selected as a White House Military Social Aide.

He was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Dr. Love has been presented with many military decorations:
